What a goal

Ronaldinho's goal against villareal..easily the best of the season so far.
WOW..An amazing goal.

The goal by Peter crouch against Galatasaray in the CL was a better one. Firstly, the ball to Crouch was coming flatter than the cross by Xavi to dinho. Secondly, Crouch was able to find the far-corner of the post leaving the GK no chance while in Dinho's case it was the relatively slower reflexes of the GK as the ball was close to the GK.

I guess there have been a number of goals that have been better than the one scored by Dinho this season-

Dejan stankovic's thunderbolt against Chievo
Rafael Van Der Vaart's wonderstrike against Arsenal in the CL
Giuseppe Biava's (a palermo LB!!)incredible reflex against sampdoria
Higuain's (a River plate center forward) brace against Boca Juniors.
kaka's goal against some CL opponent (I dont remember the opposition)
Deco's goal against Chelsea after a good run

Iam just stopping here- Iam sure there are plenty more...!!

Agreed. All the goals you have mentioned are great goals.
By 'Season' I meant La Liga season.Probably I should have made it much more clear.
But what I liked about this goal is the run and the recovery he made after his first touch let him down. I didnt anticipate a strike like that neither did the goalee. After that poor touch, he recovered well and kicked it the first time, without bringing it down.
Crouch's case was different, it was a first time shot and the defender was at mistake. That too was not an aticipated one and a great stike too.
Kaka's goal I beleive was against Andrelecht. But I like the one against Argentina friendly better.
And about Higuain - Looks like Riverplate is not interested in selling him to Real.Fantastic talent he is.

Yeah kaka's goal was against Anderlecht- A phenomenal strike and of course his amazing run against the Argies was one to savour.

Regarding Higuain-Firstly, in South America unlike in Europe the players agent has all the say in a player's future. The club, and in this case River, have very little say even if they want Higuain to stay back. (Remeber the Robinho episode where the player and his agent prevailed inspite of a low compensation for Santos of Brazil). The agents run the business and in fact get all the monetary rewards. So u can see clubs like River Plate being almost broke (they did not have the money to buy Juan Veron from Inter on a free transfer which a club like Estudiante De La Plata had) even though they have managed to sell-Pablo Aimar, Saviola, Andres D'Alessandro, Esteban Cambiasso, Lucho Gonzalez, Javier Mascherano, Cavenaghi in just the last 4+ years. Iam sure there are plenty more to come as their academy is one of the best in south america.

Secondly, and more importantly, the best players in Argentina this season this season have been - Palacio, Fernando Gago and Juan Veron. Even in River I think there have been better players than Higuain. Its his performance in the derby that really attracted this attention. I dont think he has achieved even close to wht an Alessandro did in 2001-02 season . Andres was in-fact captaining River at the age of 20. I dont think Higuain has achieved anything close to wht an Alessandro has done for them or even wht Lucho Gonzalez did abt 2.5 years back. I think he is grabbing attention because argentina lack a genuine number 9 in their NT (if Crespo retires before the next Copa in Venezuela). Mind you they have some phenomenal young talents in Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Fernando Gago, Carlos Tevez, and my faourite Javier Mascherano but they lack a genuine number 9 who can be fulcrum of their attacking third. In fact, spain really exposed Argentina in the recent friendly on the need of a genuine play-maker and a centre forward. I feel Higuain is being given attention more because of these reasons. He maybe a very good player with plenty of skills but then he needs to grow as a player which can only happen if he can atleast get into the regular starting XI. And if he does join Real Madrid I think he will have to start behind- RvN, R9, Cassano, Raul. Which would actually deprive him of regular games and in-effect can be very detrimental to his career.

Thats interesting. But of the available lot that Real Madrid can get their hands on for future is Higuain and Gago.I think they will be playing for whites soon.As you say I did get to watch his play in the derby.
Yes it might be detrimental. But under the guidance of a disciplined coach and regime they can groove themselves into a very good players and they get noticed easily if they play for big clubs. I feel these youngsters should be playing for the B team(Castilla) while they get to know the type of game that is played in the league.By this they can get adapted to the new place and game style. They are young and there is plenty left to play.European leagues are pretty physical and so these youngsters need to be absolutely fit to avoid sustaining injuries.
