Ronaldo
It happened just 3 minutes(or more probably) after he came into the field. There was a delicate backflick, trying to find Inzaghi and in a few seconds after that he goes down in Livorno's penalty box, clutching his left knee and screaming in pain, reminding me of the scenes of his knee injury in 1999. The difference this time, it is the tendon in his left knee. I had to stop watching the match after that scene. It was a terrible sight.
Will he play again?.I wish he does.

Real leaps infront of sevilla
What a match that was. WOW.
A clash between the second and third placed team in la liga, at the end of which the teams swapped their spots in the table. Yes,Real Madrid beat sevilla 3-2 and are now two points behind Barca
It was a wonderful sight to see the Madrid players giving everything to pick up three points from the game. Both the teams played a waiting game in the first half, careful not to concede. But Sevilla eventually scored a deserved goal from a wonderful strike.Capello then changed his tactics a little bit(or should I say totally) making substitutions to enable some attacking football to be played by madrid. Guti came in, sent in a couple of wonderful defence splitting passes, at the end of which Ruud and Robinho scored a couple of important goals. It was really one of the best matches I have seen this season in la liga.
Check out the highlights here.Amazing vision from Guti for the 1st and 2nd goals.
There was more drama, Robinho got sent off for a second yellow that was shown for his wild(!!!) celebrations. Becks got booked and would have to sit out the match against Espanyol. Also Luis Fabiano who was warming up in the sidelines got sent off before even getting on to the pitch, for abusing the linesman.Poor chap.
Sevilla looked really tired in the last quarter of the game and couldn't capitalise much. But they got a very important second goal.In all, Madrid with their excellent performance has given themselves a chance to take the title fight till the end.

Why
1. Why do some people have their photograph taken everyday in the morning, in their office cubicle.
2. Why do they choose to set that picture taken as their desktop background.
3. Why do they always pose either like talking in a phone or leaning on to their monitor.
4. Why do they use flash in a brightly lit office and end up looking much brighter than the 'Mohana' of 'thillanamoganambaal' fame, in their photo.
Are they suffering from some variation of Amnesia or are they related to 'Rasukutti'.

Cat Penance
Kalki's take on this beautiful piece of sculpture at Arjuna's penance(or probably Bhagirathan's penance) at Mahabalipuram. From his book 'kal sonna kathaigaL'.
Bala has uploaded a few of the pics taken during our trip here.

Helmet
He was a regular at the Gym. He was proud of his body and used to work out regularly, sculpting each and every part of his body, muscle and even veins.
But little did he realise that his head is not strong enough to bear a collision at a high speed. Rather had he covered his head with a helmet, I would have seen him again at the gym in a few days time.
The thrill in driving bike at high speeds, skidding past the traffic, reaching the helm of the crowd and accelerating away from them is an exhilarating and victorious feeling that only a few other activities can match. Some times minor or major accidents occur to themselves or to their friends from which lessons will be learnt. These lessons will become part of one's driving instincts and the same mistake would not be committed again. These are the lucky lot with a strong life line.
In his case, I was hoping that he would realise the limits of his driving skills and capabilities of his own bike. I was sure that when he walks out of the ICU, he would have learnt his lesson - 'Usiru' is much more valuable than 'Masiru'.
But today, he cannot walk out of the room only his lifeless body would be moved out.
RIP Jagan.

Is he back?
Only capello can answer.
Meanwhie, I had to put this up, though its a little late.
Ronaldo's first goal in la liga for Real this season.
Of course soccermania has a neat writeup on one of my long time favourite striker.
Hope capello provides him more minutes on pitch and i'm sure he would cast his magic as he did last week. Even if he is 70% fit as he was while playing for Barca, that will be enough for Real to land a trophy this season. And good to see Bernabeu crowd applaud him.
