Indian express(Chennai edition) reports :Seven-month-old Chellammal the only elephant calf at the Vandalur zoo showcases its skill with a football by balancing it gingerly between its trunk and fore-legs. She arrived at the zoo four months ago and has been training with her favourite toy' the ball ever since.
Even Elephant plays football these days in chennai...wondering why humans dont?? :-)

That is a very cute pic! Elephants are a wonder to watch, Babies are a delight to watch... Baby elephant is just terrific!
btw, guess, it will be difficult for this one to hold a cricket ball like that!

Absolutely.The energy they posses is fantastic.So many times the kittens in my house surprise me.
BTW cute picnnu sonna vudane nyabagam varuthu..There was this white lioness cub picture in the paper today that was fabulous.If you dint get a chance to see it,you can also google it as 'Ashanti white lioness'.

There was a program recently in Radio Mirchi Hello chennai about a guy from madras who has made it to the Indian Under-17 team in the under 17 football tournament(mebbe world cup )held in portugal.

May be yes. Thats a great news.Near my place there are a few who play football really well and they try to get into some goverment job through football quota. After that they dont play much.Thats one reason we dont get to see many players.
But the main reason is the lack of publicity, as you say we get to know these things from Radio mirchi.:-(
